Faith In God
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for the conviction of things not seen indeed, by faith our ancestors received approval. By faith, we understand that the world was prepared by the word of God so that what is seen was made from things that are nor visible. (Hebrews 11:1-3)
Faith is the foundation for all Christians, without faith, we cannot achieve anything. Our faith begins in our home, we all get faith from our parents which is transferred onto generations. We all believe that Christ is the cornerstone of our lives. Everyone receives faith by listening, observing others and by practising our religion.
We children can grow in faith by reading the bible regularly and listening to the word of God. In the bible, Jesus explained the importance of having faith in God, without faith we cannot attain heaven.
Our Father Abraham believed in God and he has become the father of all believers. Abrahams faith in God was strong, he never doubted God’s promise. God promised him that he will be the father of generations. When he had no children, God promised of a great offspring from him and he believed in the promise. God asked Abraham to offer his only son to be sacrificed. Abraham believed that nothing is impossible with God and he became righteous in front of God.
In 2 Corinthians 13:5 says “Examine yourselves to see whether you are living in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you? Unless indeed you will fail the test.” As a devoted Christian who follows Christ in our daily lives, it is important to understand that we are accompanied by God in every moment of our lives. The one who lives in us is the most powerful force that we could ever imagine. We will only understand the mystery of our relationship with God when we believe there is a person who is living within us and this is not a mere myth but a reality.
