A poem by Jolly Lazar, Angel’s Captain. In memory of the heart-breaking loss of a friend’s daughter who lost her life to cancer.

As I stand, my shoulders droop
Captain who could not, save his troop
You taught us grit, and left us with
Memories to cherish, until we perish

Pray for us oh dear
The only angel we knew here
With the Heavenly Father so near
Who can wipe our sorrows clear

Daily we pray, yet we stray
Be our light, in day and night
Frail we are and we often fail
Be our strength, through our life’s length
