End of Vankkamasam prayers
We will be celebrating the final day of ‘MathavinteVanakkamasam prayers on 26th May 2017 at 7.00 pm to show our reverence to Mother Mary. All are requested to attend the service with your family to receive special blessings from Mother Mary.
Family Fun day
This year’s Family Fun day will be held on 3rdof June 2017 at the Our Lady Compassion Church Hall, Upton Park. The activities starts at 9.00 am in the morning and will continue till 5.00 pm. There will be a lot of fun filled activities for all age groups, traditional games, auctions, cultural programmes are planned and a number of food stalls with variety of food.
This is an ideal platform where you can showcase the culture, traditions and heritages of your country with food, performances and cultural activities.
To alsoencourage the participation of our youth wing, it is planned to open two stalls at the fun day venue. Those who are aged 16 and above are requested to contact the familyunit leaders for further information.
Family unit meetings May 2017
St. Alphonsa family unit will be meeting at the residence of Mr Jaisil and Mrs. Jeenaon 20th May.
Walsingham Pilgrimage
This year’s Walsingham pilgrimage will be held on 16th July 2017. Coaches are arranged for the day. Please book your seats in advance through your unit leaders. There will be no mass on this day at our mass centre.Seatsare limited andit will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
First Friday of the month.
The Holy Mass on every first Friday of the month will be at 07.00 pm from this month onwards. There will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament followed by Eucharistic adoration after the Holy Mass.
Catechism Annual assessment
The annual assessment for the catechism will be held on 25th June 2017 at St. Michaels Church, East Ham between 1.00 – 3.00 pm.
