Christmas message from Trustees
“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.” (Psalm 9:9-10).
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous, healthy and peaceful New Year.
Things have not been easy for the past year and we sincerely pray that together we will overcome these difficulties. It is the Lord our God who goes before us. He will be with us; he will not fail us or abandon us.
It is also very disappointing that we have now entered Tier 4, because of the new strain of the virus. This means we will not be able to meet our families and friends during the Christmas period. During this tough time, let us remember that Jesus was also born into difficult time, unable to find any shelter but a small stable.
Christmas is the time when we remember what God has done for us. It reminds us of the goodness of God that Christ came and was born into a humble beginning so that he can save us from the sin. So let us have more kindness, forgiveness and compassion in our heart so that this Christmas will be much more fulfilling.
Let us all pray that he helps us to not fear the future, but to confidently trust that the Lord is good to us and will always be with us even in our darkest hour.
